About Us

Hi! This is The Firm Foundation and our mission is to make the Bible Easier to understand and help you to grow closer in your relationship to God. When we decided to start up this ministry it was definitely a challenge. Our first question was, how do we even make a website? Thankfully, Wix has been more than helpful in doing that and now I can gladly say, we've done it! How this all started was through a series of questions that God asked me (Keri) personally. "How much do you love me?" Of course my answer was an automated "Very much. More than anything in this world." But then he asked me, "If you love me so much then why don't you serve me more?"

The truth is, I was afraid. I have always had social anxiety and was afraid to talk to people, but God reminded me that if I loved him like I said I did, then I had to do something. After all, God doesn't always call the qualified, he qualifies the called. So, he gave me this vison. After that I asked my sister Sierra if she would want to join me in making a website, YouTube channel, and Facebook page. She agreed.  Hopefully I, and my sister, can help others in finding a love for God, and for those who already do, help them to find a stronger love for him. This is what this ministry is all about. Because of this, all of the content that will be on here, from the Bible studies (which are always updating. There will be new ones up every other Saturday) to the Biblical Dictionary (which I am currently working on and hopefully will be up soon), will be completely free. I want others to see what God has shown me.

In the future we might open a shop to help support this ministry if we end up needing a new domain or different things that come with running a website. If you want to help us make that decision check out our "Contact" or "Feedback" page and let us know if that is something you would be interested in!

So, what exactly are our beliefs? (Statement of Faith)

  • We believe that the Bible is the infallible, inspired word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 peter 1:20)

  • We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin birth. (Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:27)

  • We believe that Jesus is the son of God, fully man and fully God. We believe in his divine nature and authority as God. (John 10:3, John 1:1, John 1:14.)

  • We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins. (Matthew 1:21, 1 Corinthians 15:3, James 5:20)

  • We believe that on the third day after his death he rose from the dead. (1 Thessalonians 4:14, 1 Corinthians 15:4)

  • We believe that God loved the world so much that while we didn't deserve it, he gave his son for us so that we will have the chance to live with him forever. (John 3:16)

  • We believe that anyone can get saved, no matter what you've done in your life. (Romans 10:13)

  • Everyone has sinned, no one was perfect except for Jesus and that is why we need a savior. So, we believe that if you confess with your mouth Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead then you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

  • We believe that works cannot save you, it's nothing you could have done, but rather what Jesus did on the cross is what saved you. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

  • We believe in one God with three persons, the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost. (Matthew 28:18-19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Hebrews 1:1-3, revelation 1:4-6*, John 1:14, Matthew 3:16)

  • We believe in baptism by water as an expression of salvation, notice baptism doesn't save you. (Matthew 3:11 and 16, Mark 1:8, Luke 23:38-46*)

  • We believe in communion as a symbol and reminder of what God did for us on the Cross. Just as we break the bread Jesus broke his body, just as we drink the cup, he spilled his blood for us on the cross. (Matthew 26:26-30)

  • We believe that we are new creatures in Christ and should live changed lives after we have gotten saved and work to lead others to Christ. We do not work to get saved, we work because we are saved. Christ promised to come back for us after his resurrection and expect us to live holy obedient lives as we prepare for his return. ( Matthew 28:18-19, Mark 16:15, John 17:18, Acts 1:8, 2 Corinthians 5:18-20, 1 Peter 1:17, 2:11)

  • We will experience a bodily resurrection. Those who are dead in Christ (saved) will rise first and those who remain alive will be changed in the twinkling of an eye. It will be a glorious day! We are responsible for spreading God's word. (2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21:1)
