Why is reading the Bible so important for kids?
Children are very important to God in the Bible, and Jesus himself even said suffer them not, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven (Luke 18:16, Matthew 19:14). Jesus was pretty much saying that our children are the church of tomorrow. How are they to be preachers, singers, pastors, and deacons if one does not help them read and understand the Bible when they are young? Children are listening a lot more than we think they do, and they will remember what the parent has taught them, and carry that with them for the rest of their lives. Who are the wisest people in the Bible? Why?
Solomon was one of the wisest people in the Bible. The reason he was so wise was because God gave him that wisdom. In Proverbs Solomon is addressing his son and teaching him about wisdom. He is able to teach his son about how to get wisdom because he himself had the wisdom of God. You can read this story about where Solomon got his wisdom in 1 Kings 2:1–4, 10–12, and 3:1–15. The second wisest person I can think of is Jesus Christ himself. He is the son of God and therefor the wisest of them all. He is God in the flesh, and as we know wisdom comes from God alone. In John 8:58 Jesus was claiming to be God. In John 10:30-33 Jesus is claiming to be God by saying he and the father are one, The Pharisees, who were the Jewish religious leaders who were corrupt in the faith, were upset because they viewed this as blasphemy. In John 20:28, Thomas called Jesus God and John 1:1-3 talks of the word made flesh, this is Jesus. Since Jesus is God he is, by default, the wisest man in the Bible. Fully man and fully God.
Who was the first father in the Bible?
Adam if the first human father. In the beginning God created Adam and then Eve. Adam then knew his wife Eve and had children. Therefor, Adam was the first human father. You can find this in the first few stories of Genesis. But, God is our father and he was before we were. He created Adam and all of mankind; in other words he is our father. You can find this in Isaiah 63:16. How comforting it is to know that we can call our God Abba Father and come boldly to him before the throne!
